CEC shows satisfaction over peaceful holding of LB election

ISLAMABAD: The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Sardar Raza Khan has expressed satisfaction over peaceful holding of the polling in the second phase of Local Government Elections on Thursday.

Sardar Raza Khan also commended role of Pakistan Army, Rangers, police and political parties, voters, candidates and polling staff for holding polling in a peaceful manner.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) received 106 minor complaints till conclusion of polls in Sindh and Punjab.

Polling was postponed in 13 different wards and union councils of Thatta, Hyderabad, Naushero Feroz, Tando Allayar and Tharparkar in Sindh province due to wrong printing of ballot papers.
