Water level in Mangla Dam starts receding

MIRPUR - Due to the snowfall on upper reaches the water level in Mangla Dam has started swiftly receding.

Following receding of water level in Jhelum River, the inflow of the water in the dam was fallen to 21,900 cusecs with outflows of 50 thousand cusecs on Friday, official sources told APP Friday.

As a result of the receding of water in the rivers falling in Mangla dam the dam level was decreased on Friday to 1,202.55 feet against the dead level of 1,140 feet.

Earlier it was raised to the maximum level of 1,242.00 feet during the just-departed season.
