KP govt to induct 10,000 teachers by Dec

PESHAWAR: Education Minister for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Atif Monday announced that as many as 10,000 teachers will be inducted by the next month while 10,000 more openings for teachers will be created.

Answering the queries of members at KP Assembly, the provincial minister said the shortage of teachers is being overcome and it is in this context that 10,000 teachers will be appointed by December this year.

He said 177,000 candidates have submitted their applications for the vacant posts.

The KP Education Minister further announced that the government is also in the process of creating 10,000 more openings for teachers.

He informed that the incumbent government was building 160 schools per year as compared to the previous governments which used to construct 100 schools.

Muhammd Atif said 15 water dams have been constructed so far while work is in progress on 105 others.
