PTI leaders lying to conceal their negligence: Saad Rafique
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique Sunday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi were lying in a bid to conceal their own negligence at their Friday’s rally in Multan.
Addressing a press conference here, Saad Rafique said it was PTI’s responsibility to make arrangements for their public meeting in Multan.
He said PTI itself had arranged for the electricity with the help of generators. “PTI is responsible for the absence of a ladder to climb onto the stage besides making other arrangements,’ he added.
“They are holding the administration responsible without any trace of shame,” Rafique said, adding, however, that Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi cannot conceal their negligence by lying.
He said, ‘we will not accept responsibility of the incident which has nothing to do with us’.
The Railways Minister maintained that PTI itself had insisted on holding its rally in Qasim Bagh.
