ISLAMABAD – Former federal minister for Information and Broadcasting and Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Mushahid Hussain Syed on Friday said that India must end its stubbornness attitude and come to dialogue with Pakistan for peaceful solution of the issues.

Talking to journalists outside the Parliament House, he said that India should learn lesson from the past mistakes instead of repeating the same. He said that India should resolve all issues with Pakistan through dialogue and work together to bring stability in the region.

He said that India should understand that Kashmir was a core issue between Pakistan and India, adding without resolving this issue, peace could not be guaranteed in South Asia. He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Pakistan policy showed a mindset based on aggressive and hawkish policies rooted in the past, which was endangering efforts for regional peace and prosperity.

Mushahid said that the armed forces were already engaged in the battle against terrorism in Waziristan and Pakistan suffered and sacrificed the most in war on terror. He said that the new government in Afghanistan was a good sign for Pakistan and the leadership of the two countries should come forward and work for peace and prosperity of the region.
