Leghari demands referendum for Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly session on Wednesday discussed unprovoked Indian aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), with Awais Leghari recommending a referendum similar to that held in Scotland last month.

Leghari who is the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs said, that if the people Scotland can be given the right to a referendum then why can’t the same right be given to the people of Kashmir.

Members condemned Indian aggression in their speeches in the National Assembly, with Leghari terming the aggression as Narendra Modi’s appeasement towards the BJP and the RSS. Leghari said that the aggression will not be taken lying down and a befitting reply will be given.

Again demanding the same right given to the people Scotland for the people Kashmir, Awais Leghari expressed dissatisfaction at the performance of Pakistan’s ambassadors for their lack of initiative on such issues.
