KPK to ensure transparency, quality of development projects: CM
Khatak says government holding strategic dialogue with development partners to make Pakhtunkhwa a model of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaz Khattak here on Friday assured the international development partners and donors agencies for maintaining transparency and quality in execution of development projects to make the province a model of Pakistan.

Talking to journalists after attending the third high level strategic dialogue on development partnership, he said that the provincial government had gathered development partners and apprised them about the progress on these projects.

He informed that the provincial government was holding strategic dialogue with development partners aimed at creating synergies for gearing up socio-economic development of Pakhtunkhwa.

He further said that the provincial government has set development targets in collaboration with donors in education, health and other projects of social sector and were also achieved.

The chief minister said that the provincial government has also introduced many constitutional and legal reforms for bringing systemic change and improving the performance of different departments.

“Our development partners were satisfied with the progress and performance of the government on different projects and they have assured us for continuing their support for development of different sectors”,he remarked.

He said that further legislation was underway to eliminate political influence, mismanagement and corruption to improve performance of governmental organisations for better service delivery. He said that accountability system was also improved by introducing reward on good progress and strict action against mismanagement and corruption for making the province a model of development.

The development funds were utilized in a transparent manner for progress and development of Pakhtunkhwa adding that funds of projects which were not initiated were used for on-going projects.
