ECP announces schedule for by-election in PS-37
By APPISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday announced to hold by-election in Sindh Assembly constituency PS-37 Jamshoro (Dadu) on November 29, 2014.
According to the schedule for this seat vacated by Syed Abdul Nabi Shah, public notice will be issued by Returning Officer on October 29 while dates for filing of nomination papers has been set for October 30 and 31.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on November 05 and 06, 2014 while last date for filing appeals against the decision of acceptance or rejection of nomination by Returning Officer has been set for November 11.
Last date for decision on appeals by Election Tribunals has been set for November 10 while last date for withdrawal of candidature will be November 11 2014.
According to the Commission, publication of revised list of candidates will be made on November 11 while polling will be held on November 29 2014 (Saturday).
Meanwhile, the ECP has also appointed Regional Election Commissioner Hyderabad as District Returning Officer District Election Commissioner Jamshoro as Returning Officer and Assistant Commissioner Taluka Sehwan District Education Officer Jamshoro and Assistant Commissioner Taluka Johi District Dadu as Assistant Returning Officers.
