ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday said that he would visit Balochistan soon to discuss swift implementation of the agriculture package.

The prime minister – in a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch – discussed the political and security situation and the ongoing development projects in the province.

He appreciated the efforts of Dr Baloch for persuading the estranged Baloch people to join the national mainstream and in this connection referred to the laying down of arms by hundreds of people, who had gone to the mountains.

Nawaz Sharif said that development of the province was top agenda of the government, adding that Balochistan would benefit the most from implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
