The ulemas raised some issues such a prolonged load-shedding, dilapidated roads, water shortage and over flowing gutters, No Objection Certificates (NOC) for new processions and taking out names of some of their ulemas from IV schedule.

Murad said that he was going to Islamabad to attend National Action Plan (NAP) meeting. He assured them that he would take up the issue of load-shedding with federal minister for Water and Power to exempt the cities and towns from load-shedding during 1 to 10 Muharram.

“It became our ultimate responsibility to provide security to majalis and jaloos, therefore new jaloos may not be taken during the Muharram and we would adjust them in our security plan in the next Muharram,” he assured.

Talking about loud speaker usage, the Murad said, “There was no ban on using loud speakers when a Zakir delivers his Khutba but playing a recorded speech on tape recorder is not allowed and this should be avoided.”
