ECP announces schedule for LG polls in Punjab
LAHORE: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday announced the schedule for local bodies’ elections on specified seats in Punjab, reported a local news channel.
According to the schedule, the elections for specified seats of district council, Municipal Corporation and Metropolitan Corporation would be held on November 9.
The candidates have been directed by ECP to submit their nomination papers on October 14 and 15. In addition, elections for the Municipal Committees’ specified seats will be held on November 10. The inspection of nomination papers will take place on October 17 and 18 in this regard. Elections for specified seats of Union Council will be held on November 12.
