Indian forces killed another minor boy in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Curfew remained in force in seven police station areas of occupied Srinagar on Saturday following death of a minor boy, who was injured during clashes between protesters and Indian security forces in Safakadal area of the city.

According the media reports, Junaid Ahmad, a resident of Saidpora in Srinagar was hit by pellets outside his residence. He succumbed to his injuries after being admitted to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences.

This sparked widespread protest in the city. Tear gas shells at the protestors who were shouting slogans as his body was taken to be buried.

More than 90 people have died and 10,000 injured in clashes between Indian security forces and protesters since Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani's killing in July.

The shutdown called by Hurriyat leadership entered its 92nd day on Saturday.
