KE to provide one-window new electricity connections
Karachi-Electric to install aerial bundled cabling, smart meter initiative, mobile meter reading
By: APPKARACHI: Aimed at providing one-window operations for provision of new electricity connections, Karachi-Electric (KE) has established new connection front desks at all of its 29 Integrated Business Centers (IBC) across the city.
The KE spokesperson that on Friday that the utility focuses on continuous process improvements and several projects are being initiated to achieve greater operational efficiency and subsequently provide more value for consumers such as installation of aerial bundled cabling, smart meter initiative and mobile meter reading etc.
`We are hopeful that by streamlining the process of new connections, our commercial, residential and industrial consumers will find it easier to acquire these connections', he added. Apart from lodging a request for a new connection, consumers can now also approach their respective IBC for load extension, temporary connection, reinforcement, change of meter position and meter tapping.
To lodge a request for a new connection, consumers need to visit their respective IBC along with the required documentation.
