Pakistan will take legal action if India violates agreements: FO

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will take stern legal action against violation of any of the agreements signed with India, Foreign Office said on Thursday.

In weekly news briefing Foreign Office Spokesman Nafees Zakaria said Pakistan is keeping an eye on the Indus Water Treaty.

He condemning the LOC violatrions by India said Pakistan would reply it in a befitting manner.

The Foreign Office Spokesman said Pakistan has always welcomed the reconciliatory efforts by India in the past.

He also condemned the political manoeuvring of SAARC summit by India.

He said the SAARC summit had been postponed eight times in the past due to India.

“Indian attempts of diplomatically isolating Pakistan have failed miserably,” Nafees Zakaria said.

He said the CPEC project will not only benefit Pakistan but the whole region.

On Afghanistan, he said Pakistan hails the agreements between Afghan National Government and Hizb e Islami. “Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan,” he said.

Foreign Office Spokesman said Indian Prime Minister`s statements on Balochistan and former East Pakistan are proof of Indian interference in Pakistan.
