Dar lashes out at Imran

Minister says ‘govt will not let people of Islamabad be taken hostages’

ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar stated on Saturday that the government will not let the people of Islamabad be taken hostages, a local TV channel reported.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will have to wait even after 2023 for his turn, a statement quoted Dar as saying.

He lashed out at Imran and said that there were some ‘sick minds’ that were hampering Pakistan’s progress. “The man who loves being on the container is unable to digest Pakistan’s progress”, Dar said.

“The opponents know that they will not be able to form a government even after the end of our current term,” the minister concluded.
