NewsShah Mehmood Qureshi rebuts Javed Hashmi’s statement
ISLAMABAD: Refuting the statement of Javed Hashmi, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi said PTI chief Imran Khan and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Tahiraul Qadri did not discuss martial law in their meeting.
“Tehreek-e-Insaf will be standing with those opposing a martial law,” Qureshi said while speaking in an interview given to private TV channel.
He said Imran Khan had never met ex-chief of the country top spy agency ISI, Ahmed Shuja Pasha in London.
Shah Mehmood said no message had come from the ‘badge’ to join Tahirul Qadri’s march towards the Prime Minister House.
He said if Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk constitutes an independent commission to probe allegations of rigging in the elections of 2013, its decision would be acceptable to the PTI.
“If the joint session of the Parliament passes a resolution that the SC commission would be ‘mandatory’ then it would be acceptable to us,” he said.
