Sheikh Rasheed announces conditions for his resignation

ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) President Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Wednesday announced his conditions for resignation from the National Assembly.
“I will resign when prime minister will relinquish his office,” said Sheikh while talking to media.
Describing the political crisis in cricketing term, Sheikh said, “The final five-over match has started now”.
He took a strong exception to the word “gypsies” used for protesters in the sit-in outside the Parliament House and said that it was ridiculous.
He complained about terming him as “the mastermind” of rebellion in this episode and said that he can endure hardships of jail that would be hard for the Sharif brothers to face.
Sheikh also showed distrust in the judicial commission to probe the rigging in the last general elections. “It is a time wasting exercise and nothing else,” he noted.
AML chief said, “What the judicial commission in the past did any service that one should expect any hope from it.”
