Bilawal urges politicians to channel energies toward IDPs help

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Patron in Chief, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sunday said the entire national solidarity has been compromised at the hands of politics and advised the politicians to adopt a policy of reconciliation.

In a video message issued here at Bilawal House, the PPP leader termed the ongoing military offensive ‘Zarb-e-Azb’ in North Waziristan Agency as the battle of Pakistan’s survival and security.

He called for reaching out to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and tell the soldiers of Pak Army that the entire nation stands with them.

“Hundreds of thousands of IDPs have been displaced and, in this situation, we cannot turn a blind eye to our brothers as well as those Jawans who are laying down the ultimate sacrifice of their lives while fighting the terrorists,” ‘Bilawal said.

He recalled that in 2009 the whole nation stood as one and open-heartedly helped the Swat affectees. A similar spirit is needed today, he said.

He appealed the rulers and politicians to rise above their political differences and fight for those who have been displaced.

“Overcome the hate before it devours us all,” he warned.
