PM Nawaz meets negotiating committee

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday met with the members of the committee currently involved in negotiation with the protesting Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) here in Islamabad, Geo News reported.

According to the sources, members who were present in the meeting included Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid, Minister of States and Regional Affairs Abdul Qadir Baloch, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar and Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal.

The committee members briefed the premier on the dialogues process with the opposition parties of PTI and PAT who are protesting in the federal capital and demanding the prime minister’s resignation over the alleged rigging in 2013 elections.

The committee also presented their detailed charter of demands to PM Nawaz Sharif.
