Police launch probe into PTV assault case
ISLAMABAD: Secretariat police have launched investigation into PTV attack case and apprehended an accused, Geo News reported.
Sources said police have made contact with NADRA for identification and other information of the accused. Footages from various TV channels have also been obtained to recognize the attackers.
Police have also recorded statements of higher officials of the State Television.
Sources said the arrests would be made after the identification of culprits.
Demonstrators had stormed PTV building and occupied it for around half an hour before being removed by army on September 01.
According to PTV administration, protesters vandalized valuable transmission equipment at the office and ransacked the central news room and master control room.
