Zil Hajj Moon not sighted, Pakistanis to celebrate Eidul Azha on 13th

KARACHI: Pakistanis would celebrate Eidul Azha on September 13 as the Central Ruet-Hilal Committee received no evidence of Zil Hajj moon sighting from any part of the country on Friday.

The committee met in Karachi with Mufti Munibur Rehman in the chair for the moon sighting. Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committee also met in other major cities of Pakistan to collect evidence.

Earlier, Met Office said Zil Hajj crescent would be visible in Karachi after 40 minutes of sunset.

"We have received no evidence of moon sighting from anywhere. Month of Zil Hajj would start on September 4, while Eid Azha will fall on Tuesday, September 13," Mufti Munibur Rehman told a press conference.
