PTI, PAT carrying Altaf’s agenda indirectly: Asghar

By: APP

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) are apparently advancing agenda of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain indirectly, said Pakistan Muslim League-N MNA Sheikh Rohail Asghar while talking to APP here on Saturday.

He said that Altaf directly spoke against the State to fulfil designs of enemies of the country and apparently Imran and Qadri are also doing the same indirectly. “Altaf chose a time for anti-Pakistan statements when Kashmir issue was being fully highlighted in the world. Altaf attempted to divert world attention and created unrest inside the country,” he alleged.

He said that protest was the right of political parties but selecting a time for launching a protest campaign when it hit interests of the country, is a totally unfair. “Opposition parties have three main forums to highlight their grievances including Parliament, Judiciary and elections. We do not have any objection whatever they opt,” he said.

Rohail said that problem with the PTI was that they do not want to go into the parliament or to judiciary and are not even ready to wait for the next elections. The Constitution does not suggest any other way to come into power for any one, he said.

He said that parties like the PTI and the PAT were trying to destabilise system through unfair means without ignoring the fact that it would be against the interests of the country. “(God forbid) even, if they succeed in their designs to destabilise the system, they will not get any benefit out of it,” he said.

He said that opposition parties were talking about accountability of the government. People are well aware of the past and present of these parties, he said. Performance of PPP's previous government at federal and Sindh level and present government of PTI in KPK were self-explanatory,” he said.

“People are well-aware of that the men standing on left and right of PTI chairman are how much clean,” he said.
