Ch Nisar subliminally goes all rainbows and unicorns

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar during a press briefing on Saturday (today) proved to be a beacon of hope, smoothly gliding over the recent attack on Christian community, saying that four suicide bombers who stormed Peshawar’s Christian Colony a day earlier were foreigners.

During press briefing, Nisar claimed that the ministry had intelligence alert about a possible militant attack in Peshawar.

Surprisingly enough terrorists struck Mardan and Peshawar on Friday, killing 14 people and injuring 49 when it could have ended with a higher number of deaths like in times before 2013. Luckily the four suicide bombers were killed before they could set off their explosives.

Nisar kept his composure and had it all under control. While carefully selecting his words he appreciated ‘security forces’ for their efforts in pushing back the militants, he talked about how “if people want to, can give a little credit to government in eradicating militancy”

Treading slowly Nisar went on explaining how weeks pass by without any bomb blast and how government toned down the number of blasts from days to weeks’ intervals.

He urged people not to point fingers at each other and to maintain peace and harmony in times like these. He said that people should unite against these terrorist attacks and fight back against their ideology.

Nisar used statistical data to support his claims circling around the reduction in terrorism after 2013. He stressed that the military and government jointly pushed back militancy from the country and now the terrorist networks were operating beyond the border.

Attacks took place almost a day after Director General (DG) ISPR Asim Bajwa updated about the progress made against militancy in country.
