ISLAMABAD: Political leaders and defence analysts said on Tuesday that the country’s defence is impregnable at a special defence day show organised by Radio Pakistan.

Senator Abdul Qayyum said that the country was again confronting a proxy war imposed by Pakistan’s enemy after 50 years. He urged the nation to demonstrate unity to foil the conspiracies by enemies.

Former National Defence University (NDU) President and Defence Analyst Lieutenant General (r) Raza Muhammad Khan said that India has been trying to disseminate disinformation to show that Pakistan started the 1965 war – even the Indian writers do not accept this argument.

Commodore (r) Azhar Ahmed recalled the valour with which Pakistan Navy fought the enemy while Defence Analyst Lieutenant General (r) Amjad Shoib said the nation is fully united to confront any threat to Pakistan’s security and sovereignty.
