KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that the father of nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, had given loud and clear directions to the nation to “work, work and work”, and "I am sure this is the only avenue which leads to prosperity and development".

This he said while talking to media just after offering Fateh and laying a wreath on the grave of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to pay tributes and respect to mark 68th death anniversary of Father of Nation here on Sunday. He was accompanied by the Sindh Governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan, and his cabinet members.

He said that he was striving hard to provide good education, best health care and employment opportunity to each and every citizen of this province. "I am sure my efforts would bear the fruit," he added. Syed Murad Ali Shah said that he along with his cabinet members had visited Mazar-i-Quaid to pay respect to the Father of Nation who created this beloved country where every citizen irrespective of religious discrimination was leading a respectable life.

"It becomes our collective responsibility to keep this country a cradle of peace and tranquillity," he said. The Chief Minister said that he has initiated a trend of starting work in the morning and this is not a new one. "Our people have turned lethargic," he said and added "what I want from every individual to turn up on their work at 9 am - this is the panacea of our various problems," he said. He added "if you start your day very late you would not be able to do justice with your work and yourself," he said.

Syed Murad Ali Shah vowed to serve the people of province irrespective of socio-political and religious discrimination. "This was the teaching of our Quaid and today I vow with the people of Sindh at his mazar," he said.
