PM phones Farooq Sattar, inquires after his health

ISLAMABAD/KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif telephoned MQM Pakistan chief Dr Farooq Sattar to inquire after his health, after the latter suffered from a near-fatal accident on Sunday night.

The Prime Minister phoned Dr Farooq Sattar and wished him a speedy recovery, after which Dr Farooq Sattar thanked the Premier for inquiring after his health. General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaquat Baloch also inquired after Dr Farooq Sattar's health and told him that God had granted him a special life, hence He had saved him from the accident.

Doctors had also confirmed that the MQM Pakistan chief had suffered a hairline fracture due to the accident. Khawaja Izharul Hassan had claimed that Dr Farooq Sattar had also suffered internal injuries due to the accident.

Meanwhile, injured guards Wasim and Shakeel, who were also traveling with Dr Farooq Sattar in the vehicle, were shifted to a private hospital. Dr Farooq Sattar had been traveling from Hyderabad to Karachi when his car overturned near Nooriabad owing to construction work which was being done at the highway.
