Security of CPEC project very ‘crucial’: CM Sindh

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would open new avenues of development.

Chairing meeting pertaining to security of the CPEC project at Sindh Secretariat here Thursday, Murad Ali Shah said, “Security of this project is very crucial. Sindh government will give special focus to it.”

“The federal government has formed special security division for the CPEC, which consists of six wings of around 9000 Army personnel,” the chief minister said.

Murad Ali Shah directed for compiling complete data of every Chinese national, landing at the airport.

He said Sindh government has already issued SOP for CPEC and non CPEC projects.

Chief Secretary Siddiqui Memon, IG Sindh A.D Khawaja, Advisor to CM on Law Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Home Secretary, Principal Secretary to CM and other officials attended the meeting.
