Pakistan rejects allegations, seeks credible info
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan have rejected baseless Indian allegations and asked for credible information from India after gunmen raided Indian army base in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Pakistan and India’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) contacted over a hotline after attack on an army base in Uri. The contact was established on India’s request on Sunday in the backdrop of armed attack on base where 17 soldiers were killed, a statement from the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The DGMOs discussed the latest situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
Refuting unfounded and premature Indian allegation Pakistani DGMO asked his counterpart to share any actionable intelligence.
He reiterated that no infiltration is allowed from Pakistani soil because water tight arrangements were in place on both sides ofLOC Working Boundary all along.
Allegations
No one has so far claimed responsibility, but Indian Home Minister Rajnath Singh said he was disappointed with "Pakistan´s continued and direct support to terrorism and terrorist groups".
"Pakistan is a terrorist state and it should be identified and isolated as such," Singh said on Twitter, adding that the militants "were highly trained, heavily armed and specially equipped".
