Education sector to be free of corruption: Murad

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah here on Wednesday told Sindh assembly that they are taking steps to improve education sector with emphasis to make exam result system free from corruption.

He was responding to a call attention notice of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmaker Khurram Sher Zaman who asked that why no action was taken by the government after the anti-corruption department raided the education boards in Karachi against result tempering and embezzlement of public money.

The chief minister said that the raids were conducted because there was corruption. He said two officials were arrested and one of them has obtained bail. He said probe is still under way. He said things are going towards improvement in educational boards gradually.
