India will be the isolated one in the region: Aizaz Chaudhry

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry said that it will be a misfortune for India for not taking part in the SAARC conference this year and consequently the country would be left isolated in whole South Asian region.

Speaking in a television program Aizaz Chaudhry said that India had not officially informed about not attending the SAARC conference this year.

Chaudhry said that Pakistan has been engaged in activities for promoting peace in region. He further said that Kalbhushan Yadav's statement was evidence of India's interference in Pakistan."India has adopted a hostile approach," he maintained.

Stating that India blamed Pakistan for the Uri attack just a few hours after it had taken place, Aizaz Chaudhry said that allegations increased tensions in the region. Commenting on the issue of Kashmir, Pakistan's Foreign Secretary said "This time, the youth of Kashmir have risen and initiated a movement for freedom. The whole world is watching India's growing oppressive tactics in Kashmir. India will be the isolated one in the region,"

Aizaz Chaudhry said that India was exerting pressure on other countries to boycott SAARC conference. So far, India had not officially informed Pakistan regarding its decision about SAARC conference, he said.

Referring to Balochistan, he said that India had violated the United Nations charter by interfering in Pakistan's internal affairs.
