Anila Ali Addresses AAPI Meeting

The White House Executive Director of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI), Ms Holly Ham, recently held a listening session to engage with the API businesses.
Calpak Education Services CEO, Anila Ali, spoke at the event.
She introduced Calpak, an alliance of Pakistanis and Americans to help educate Pakistani youth, and talked about the work Pakistani women are doing to engage women in civic life and empower them through education both in the US and in Pakistan.
She shared CalSouthern University and Calpak's new joint venture in Pakistan to empower girls and women through US online degrees, teacher and nurse training certification, and other advocacy to close gender gaps and increase the enrollment of girls in schools.
Ali shared her organization's desire to work with President's Trump's AAPI initiative to economically empower women of her community to foster a sense of belonging and patriotism so that the next regeneration of AAPIs are completely integrated. She was joined by CalSouthern University's Pakistan Project director, Anastasia Selberis.
Ms Holly Ham reiterated the President's commitment to empower women through education and to work closely with the AAPi community and reaffirmed that the White House is committed to the cause of education.
