MPAC’s Policy and Government Summit Begins on July 17
By Engie Mohsen
Policy Program Manager

We believe that American Muslims should be at the forefront of increasing inclusion and diversity. For 12 years, MPAC has developed young Muslim leaders through our Young Leaders Summits.
We are excited to announce this year's Policy and Government Summit will be held July 17 - July 20 in Washington, DC. We are now accepting applications. The app deadline is midnight Sunday, May 27.

Our delegates redefine the image of American Muslims in our nation’s capital. They have the opportunity to meet directly with members of Congress, senior-level policy officials, think tank policymakers and civil society leaders in engaging meetings that allow for candid conversation, meaningful connections and leadership training.

Know someone who should apply? Tell them.

At our Policy & Government Summit, delegates will spend several days in an industry-intensive program that will expose them to the fields of government and policy where they will:
• learn how public opinion impacts policy decisions
• expand professional and social networks
• advance career aspirations and
• develop skills in public speaking and civic engagement.
“Being a part of MPAC empowered and invigorated me to be more than I was already, to push myself in new ways and never take for granted my rights and opportunities. We cannot simply sit around and wait for the world to change. Being a part of the Summit pushed me to such a realization and gave me the empowering understanding of how to begin actualizing my new goals. There’s a world out there for us to change and MPAC has inspired me to get out there and change it.” -- Laila Alawa, Summit alum
We are invested in building a brighter and more inclusive future for American Muslims!
