Calpak Introduces Program to Local Colleges and Universities in Pakistan

Karachi: Calpak, an alliance of Californians and Pakistanis to promote education in the underserved communities in Pakistan, recently hosted a luncheon to honor the outgoing Deputy Consul General of the United States in Karachi, Mr John Warner.
Calpak has collaborated with California Southern University and opened its doors to Pakistani students to enroll in Associate, Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral level studies in Pakistan. California Southern University’s Global Business Development VP, Ms Anastasia Selberis, was on a visit to Karachi to introduce the program to local colleges and universities. Ms Selberis shared details about the enthusiastic welcome given to her by Iqra University and DHA College.
The Deputy Mission Director of USAID, Mr John Smith-Sreen was also present at the luncheon hosted by California Southern University. Huma and Amir Adnan, the renowned designers of Pakistan, who are on the board of Calpak California Southern University and Calpak believe that online education provides equal access and affordable accredited US education to Pakistanis.
CEO Calpak, Anila Ali and Huma Adnan met with the new Consul General of the US in Karachi, Honorable Joanne Wagner, to discuss ways to collaborate on educational and creative projects. The Consul General, not new to Pakistan, sees great potential in Calpak’s mission and expressed her commitment to helping the cause of education in Pakistan.
