South Asian Network's  Desi Vote 2020 Campaign

“The United States Presidential election is on Tuesday, November 3rd.   Californians will also be voting on important local elections and propositions,” says a press release of the South Asian Network (SAN). It adds:

…, only those who are registered to vote will be able to participate in one of the most decisive elections in our country's history.

It's simple to do:

1.  Go to https://registertovote.ca.gov/ where you can register to vote or check on your registration status.

That's it!  There is no step 2 (except actually voting, of course).

  • Distributing information about California voting laws and voter rights, and the voting process in LA and Orange Counties;
  • Developing messaging around importance of exercising one's right to vote;
  • Educating voters about relevant ballot measures;
  • Launching social media, and SMS "get out the vote (GOTV)" activities;
  • Convening a Politics & Pakoras policy discussion prior to Election Day;
  • Collaborating with other non-partisan/non-profit voter rights/engagement organizations to share resources and information.
    If you would like to get involved, contact us at saninfo@sansocal.org. If you would like to help us ensure that our community votes this year, you can make a donation  here

It doesn't matter what your political leanings are - the 2020 Election is an important opportunity for our  entire community to raise its voice and be represented.
