Shahzad Mohammad Khan Passes away


The Los Angeles County of Southern California isthe victim of a growing and vicious onslaught of Coronavirus cases all across Southern California. Every ten minutes, one person, young or old, dies in LA County owing to the COVID onslaught.
The Muslim community of Southern California is mourning the death of our young Br. Shahzad Mohammad Khan who passed away at the young age of 42 due to Covid-19.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon
May Allah rest his soul in eternal peace in Jannat-al-Firdaus and give his family fortitude and courage to bear the monumental loss. My heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers are with his family during this most difficult time in their life.
Shahzad Mohammad Khan is survived by his wife and two loving daughters. Shahzad is also survived by his parents, Br Asad Khan and Sr Azma Khan together with his two brothers and sister. He will also be remembered by his sister-in-law and his two nieces. May Allah give all of them Sabr-e-Jameel. A'meen.
After graduating from high schoo, Shahzad was accepted and enrolled in Cal State University, San Luis Obispo. His aim was to earn a professional degree in architecture and join his father's architectural firm, Langdon Wilson International, in Los Angeles, CA. During his studies, he spent time abroad in Florence, Italy under the tutelage of local professors to study famous Italian and European Architecture.
Shahzad graduated in 2002 and joined his father's firm in 2003 as a Senior Designer. He worked on various high-profile projects as a senior team member. He was then assigned as a Supervisor to oversee the successful construction of Prince Hashim Military Hospital in Aqaba, Jordan for the firm. He also successfully supervised the construction of the massive 1200-bed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Hospital in Kuwait.
Shahzad was a talented professional who excelled in design and solving technical build issues. He was respected by his superiors and colleagues. Alas! his illustrious and very successful professional career has come to an abrupt end with his untimely death.
Funeral prayer andburial service of Shahzad Mohammad Khan were held on Tuesday, January 5, at the Islamic Mortuary in Rosamond, CA.
