Sister Muzaffar Masud Haleem Passes away

The Muslim community of Southern California is mourning the sad demise of an active and highly respected community member Sister Muzaffar Masud Haleem who passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'oon

She took her last breath holding her granddaughter Nabeeha's hand at 8:10 pm January 9, 2021, surrounded by her three sons and daughters-in-law. She was washed, shrouded, and kept at home. On January 10, 2021, she was taken to her final resting place. After her funeral prayers, Sister Haleem was laid to rest at the Muslim Cemetery of Westminster Memorial Park in Westminster, California.

May Allah rest her soul in eternal peace in Jannat-al-Firdaus  and give her entire family   fortitude and courage to bear the monumental loss. My heartfelt condolences and sincere prayers are with her family during this most difficult time in their life.

After the death of her husband, Sister Muzaffar Haleem, known as Bibi to her family and friends, decided to settle down in our beautiful city of Los Angeles in California in 1986, with a firm commitment to spend the rest of her life to serve humanity at large and provide the much needed humanitarian, social and religious services to people at large. She became deeply involved and provided outstanding and selfless services in all walks of life and especially as a Muslim matchmaker, educator, social worker, poet, cook, musician, proponent of interfaith dialogue, compassionate supporter of converts to Islam, and most of all, a motivator for young people to connect with their faith. May Allah accept all her good deeds and bless her in Jannat-al-Firdaus, A'meen. Please click on the following link to learn the details about innumerable good deeds performed by Bibi:
