Remembering the Legacy of Al Hajj Malik Shabazz
As we passed the 57th anniversary of Al Hajj Malik Shabazz or Malcolm X’s assassination, we reflect on his impact and message to the world.
His autobiography still serves as a guiding light for many people decades after its release and is to this day on Amazon’s best seller list.
He taught us the importance of education saying “Education is an important element in the struggle for human rights. It is the means to help our children and our people rediscover their identity and thereby increase their self-respect.”
We should take this opportunity to learn about his legacy, reflect on his impact, and teach our children who this pillar of our community was.
