The upcoming film  Rafi - The Untold Story is set to feature the captivating duo of Affan Waheed and Sonya Hussyn, two renowned stars in the Pakistani entertainment industry. Both Waheed and Hussyn are known for their exceptional talent and magnetic on-screen presence.

Directed by Kamran Faiq, this highly anticipated real-life drama based on a true story promises to leave a mark on cinemagoers and has already aroused the interest of devoted fans. It is reportedly a biopic of renowned Pakistani nuclear physicist, Dr Rafi Muhammad Chaudhry.

Speaking exclusively to  The Express Tribune, Waheed said, "The film is about Dr Rafi. I'm not sure how much can we spill but it's a period film set in the 1940s. The languages used are Rangri, Urdu, and English. It'll be aiming at how a Muslim scientist carved his niche in times of chaos and uncertainty."

Born on July 1, 1903, the scientist was a prominent Pakistani nuclear physicist and professor of particle physics at Government College University, widely known as R. M. Chaudhry. His teachings and guidance in modern physics inspired many of his students to pursue careers in physics, and he is regarded as one of the key pioneers of experimental nuclear physics research in Pakistan.

Alongside Pakistan's Nobel Laureate Abdus Salam and Ishrat Hussain Usmani, he played a vital role in the establishment of Pakistan's nuclear weapons research program in the 1970s. Dr Samar Mubarakmand, one of his students, later referred to Chaudhry as "the true father of Pakistan's nuclear weapons program".

The film's title,  Rafi - The Untold Story, hints of a tale of hidden truths that will captivate audiences with its emotional depth and gripping narrative. Waheed has already shared captivating posters and pictures from the film, revealing glimpses of the pre-partition era and showcasing his impeccable transformation into the character he portrays.

Hussyn shared Waheed's post on her own Instagram Story, penning a note alongside. "Yet another milestone," wrote the star. "Presenting the first look of my next movie:  Rafi - The Untold Story."

Waheed, whose reputation for exceptional acting skills and versatility continues to grow with each project, seems to be a natural fit for the character in the film. On the other hand, Hussyn, a force to be reckoned with in the industry, is set to elevate the film to greater heights with her trademark brilliance.

IMDb describes the director of the film as the "youngest industry professional ever from Pakistan to attend Venice film markets as a producer and has won five international film festivals and participated in various international film festivals across Europe and Asia." His upcoming offering holds immense promise to be an engaging cinematic journey.

The anticipation surrounding the film is palpable, as fans eagerly await the chance to witness the on-screen magic of Waheed and Hussyn in this real-life drama.
