Memorable Sadequain Immersive Art Experience in Islamabad

Congratulations to Imarat Builders for paying a magnificent tribute to Pakistan’s greatest painter, calligrapher, and poet - by producing a first-of-its-kind in Pakistan - an immersive art experience based on the latest digital technology, states an e-mail report. It adds:

The immersive art experience, titled The Saga of SADEQUAIN, is a portrayal of Sadequain’s mural titled Man and His Universe Positioned at the Center of the Universe.

Taking a cue from Iqbal’s famous verse Sitaroon say agay jahan aur bhi hein, Sadequain used balanced and bold geometric shapes at regular intervals throughout the mural that make the composition intensely engaging and intriguing while the colorful mosaic depicts far away galaxies, whirling planets, and shooting stars conjuring up an awe-inspiring sight.

Sadequain is the most celebrated artist of Pakistan. He was recognized in all five continents in his lifetime. The government of Pakistan established three institutions in his name, and awarded him the four highest civilian awards in the field of arts; no other individual can make these claims. His work was recently featured on a newly issued 75-rupee note by the State Bank of Pakistan; an honor no one else can claim.

Imarat Builders’ tribute to Sadequain is a befitting honor bestowed upon him. SADEQUAIN Foundation USA was proud to have collaborated in this worthy endeavor.

Established in 2007, SADEQUAIN Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to discovering, preserving, and promoting Sadequain’s art globally. To that end, the Foundation has published 25 books on Sadequain’s life and work and curated more than 100 seminars and exhibitions around the globe resulting in resurrection of Sadequain from obscurity.

Dr Salman Ahmad is an electrical engineer by profession. He spent more than thirty years working on nuclear missile technology in senior executive positions in the United States and was the founder and president of an electronics communications company for seven years. He founded the SADEQUAIN Foundation in June 2007 to catalog Sadequain’s work and introduce it to the world. He has authored 24 books on Sadequain.
