Are You Registered to Vote in California Primary on March 5 th?   The registration deadline for the 2024 primary elections is February 20th. This year is a critical opportunity to push for justice. Please ensure every family member and friend has registered to vote. So says a message from the Shura Council, It adds:   Check registration status Register to vote Why should I vote? Local elections are particularly sensitive to voter turnout. Frequently, candidates win and ballot measures pass by a marginal difference. For many local positions, only the top two vote-getters in the primaries move on to the general election in November. There are an estimated over 1 million Muslims in California - enough to make a meaningful difference. Every ballot that we cast, even empty ones, increases our presence on the voter roll. Politicians review voter rolls to understand demographics and determine policy.   How can I prepare? Determine your household member voter eligibility.
