Proud to Look Like a Muslim

Something happened to me on April 3, 2005 that I thought I must tell you about. Here it goes…
As you can probably tell from my name I was not born in a Muslim family. I am proud to say that I accepted the Islamic faith in 1996. Last year on October 10 in my dream for some reason I needed to pray and as I was praying (in my dream), I suddenly woke up and felt very pleased that I was praying like a person of the Islamic faith. I was profusely happy and I told most of my Muslim and non-Muslim friends about the edifying experience.
Last Sunday as I was running in the “Big D Texas Marathon” at about mile 18, I overheard a family talking either in Urdu or Hindi. One of them said, “Look at that Muslaman, is he not in good physical condition?” (I am 60 years old and have run 23 marathons)
I was so pleased to hear that exhilarating remark. After about nine years of being a Muslim, I do even look like a Muslaman now.
Allah has been good to me.
