Truth Has Prevailed
By Dr. Aamir A. Salaria

The decision to reinstate and restore the judges, including chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhary, by Prime Minister Gillani and his current administration in Islamabad is by far the most important and far-reaching page in the short 61 plus years history of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
Salute to all those who struggled tirelessly and selflessly for a free and independent judiciary in the land of the pure. Salaams to all those attorneys, civil society members, politicians, academics, scholars, peasants, students and ordinary citizens of Pakistan who have been instrumental in spearheading a peaceful campaign for free judiciary since more than two long, consecutive and at times tiring and never-seem-to-be-ending years and have eventually been able to change the course of history for the first time since attaining independence of the biggest Islamic state of the 20th century on August 14, 1947.
Eventually, real truth has prevailed and the fundamental course and path of the 180 million plus brave Pakistani people has been put in the right direction because without true justice and rule of law, no society can progress or achieve development and prosperity directly or indirectly, implicitly or explicitly, knowingly or unknowingly.
Let's pray to Almighty God to make Pakistan a real bastion of true justice, impeccable peace, ever-lasting freedom, endless opportunities and infinite happiness for all of its citizens and residents irrespective of their color, gender, creed, class, power, wealth, position, health, ethnicity, race and conviction. Aameen, Tsum Aameen.
