Dear All,
It has been devastating to witness the last few years of a world at war!
The amount of people labelled, killed, maimed, and imprisoned in a world at war!
Brothers turned on brothers, neighbours on neighbours in a world at war!
Christians, Jews, and Muslims no longer cousins, but killers to each other in a world at war!
An imbalanced world in which one has more power and might than all in a world at war!
The mighty have stepped into the area of great danger of supreme arrogance in a world at war!
Israel—the militarily advantaged side, led by Netanyahu, stands for total Mongolian-style annihilation in his world at war!
Riding on the wings of President Trump, who says he’ll blow them all up back into the stone age in this world at war!
Iran—stands for Palestine, Lebanon, Yemen, the impoverished side, some say for humanity in this world at war!
I know how much the Muslims and the Jews hurt every single day in this world at war!
The holocaust for the Jews and Karbala for the Muslims drive the emotions on both respective sides in this world at war!
The injustice and hurt of both the Holocaust and Karbala giving full vent to anger, frustrations, unprocessed emotions, and unbearable pain in this world at war!
Anger clashes with anger, emotions with emotions, hate with hate in this world at war!
More hate, more labels, more frustration, more aggression, more testosterone, more bombs in this world at war!
Mothers, fathers, grandparents, kids, babies—all non-combative innocents—torn apart limb by limb in this cruel world at war!
You cry. I cry. We all cry day and night helplessly in this world at war!
Like Ibn Sina’s lamb who witnessed the wolf, we are all emotionally sick in this world at war!
Millions have been unjustly killed!
Billions have been wrongly labelled!
Stop it!
Stop it!
Stop it!
Stop the bombs, stop the killing in this world at war!
Stop torturing, raping, harvesting organs of the prisoners in this world at war!
Crimes have been committed so savagely and so ruthlessly only God can deal with these levels of crimes in this world at war!
No mercy has been shown, no kindness, no care, no brotherhood, no neighbourliness!
No rules of war obeyed or respected in this world at war!
What happened to those Judaic, Qur’anic, and sunnah rules of war: to pursue peace first, no harming non-combatant women and children, the elderly, religious figures, no harming plants in this world at war!
Rules of war include an emphasis on justice, limiting suffering, and strict discipline?!
It includes protecting inhabited properties, the environment, and historical and religious architectural sites. It prevents cutting down fruit trees, like olive and date palm trees!
A reminder to us all of the Jewish commandment, “ do not destroy”, Bal Tashchit, forbids destruction of fruit trees, water supplies, plundering, and engaging in gratuitous destruction; it encourages treating captives with dignity in a world at war!
Jewish and Muslim rules of war include treating prisoners of war with humanity, kindness, and mercy!
Yet in this war we all witnessed so much cruelty and the ripping up of all religious and international laws!
So much bloodshed, so much pain, so many bombs, so much harm!
Is this what humans made bombs for? To destroy the entire crust of the earth along with humans perceived as “the Other”, world heritage UNESCO sites, animals, plants? Bombs ripping apart hundreds of babies and school girls in this world at war!
What a low level has humanity steeped to in this world at war!
God says when humans reach a low level, they sink below the animalistic.
Rumi says pain is where the light enters the wound!
And the cradle of saints is pain, says Data Sahib.
There is hope: For this pain will give birth to heroic hearts who will rise through and out of the ashes of the war, the bombs, the destruction, and show humanity that Changiz Khan will not have the last say, it will indeed be those who are inspired by the Love of Jesus, the graciousness of Joseph, and the wisdom of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them all). May the seeds of peace be sown in your heart to strengthen your arms to do all you can to stop the wars and the killings in this world at war!
Above all, listen up all Jews and Muslims, descendants of Cain and Abel, children of Prophet Abrahim, both your sacred texts demand your prompt action in this world at war!
For s/he who kills a single life, kills ALL of humanity and
S/he who saves a single life—each made in God’s image—saves ALL of humanity in this world at war!
